Indian Pastry Chef in Hawalli
We are seeking an experienced Indian Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Hawalli. As an Indian Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing desserts and pastries that will delight our customers. You must have a strong understanding of Indian desserts and be able to incorporate traditional flavors and techniques into your creations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and execute unique dessert and pastry menu items using traditional Indian flavors and techniques
- Ensure all pastries and desserts are presented in an attractive manner
- Maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness, and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of Indian desserts, sweets, and pastries
- Ability to create visually appealing dishes that also taste delicious
- Excellent time management skills, able to work efficiently under pressure
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills, able to give clear instructions to junior staff members
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation practices
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Hawalli, Kuwait (housing provided)
Nationality: Indian preferred but open to other nationalities with relevant experience.
