Head Chef
As the Head Chef at our bustling restaurant in Jeddah, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and leading our team of talented chefs. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards, while also maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create innovative menus that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences
- Source high-quality ingredients and oversee their storage, preparation, and cooking
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Monitor food inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain proper stock levels
- Ensure that all food safety standards are followed at all times
- Manage budget and control costs by minimizing waste and optimizing menu pricing
- Collaborate with other departments such as front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
- Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and new ingredients to continually improve menu offerings
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Proven track record of creating successful menus that attract customers
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train team members effectively
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining classic favorites on the menu
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Preference for Indian nationality or previous experience working with Indian cuisine
Salary: 1300$ per month (tax-free)
