Librarian - Nizwa, Oman (Indian Nationals Preferred)


We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Librarian to join our team in Nizwa. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library collection, providing reference services to patrons, and promoting library resources and services. A successful candidate will have a degree in Library Science or a related field, with previous experience working in a library setting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the library collection according to accepted standards and practices
- Provide reference services to patrons by assisting with research and locating resources
- Promote library resources and services through outreach programs and marketing initiatives
- Assist with developing and implementing library policies and procedures
- Train and supervise staff members on library operations, procedures, and customer service
- Stay current on emerging trends in libraries and information management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems, classification schemes, and information organization principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, online databases, and electronic resources
