Egyptian Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Egyptian Chef to join our team in Al Buraymi. As an Egyptian Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing traditional Egyptian dishes and menus. Your role will involve overseeing the kitchen operations, managing a team of cooks and ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. You should have a deep understanding of Egyptian cuisine, as well as strong leadership skills to effectively run the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing menus with authentic Egyptian dishes.
- Overseeing all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to maintain stock levels.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff on proper techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards.
- Ensuring all food meets quality standards and is served in a timely manner.
- Monitoring portion sizes and minimizing waste.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen at all times.
- Collaborating with restaurant managers to create promotional menus or special events featuring Egyptian cuisine.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Egyptian Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel.
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Egyptian dishes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to create innovative menu items while staying true to traditional recipes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1800 per month for this full-time position.
Location:
This position is located in Al Buraymi, so we prefer candidates who are already living in the area or willing to relocate at their own expense.
