Temporary Executive Chef
We are in need of a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team on a temporary basis in Manama. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring high-quality and delicious meals are served to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create new menu items and specials
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and prep cooks
- Ensure all food safety standards are being followed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create a positive dining experience for guests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Ability to create unique and innovative dishes while also maintaining traditional favorites
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely preparation of meals for guests
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with ease
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree from a culinary school is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have excellent communication skills
