Contract Librarian


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Librarian to join our team in Muharraq. As a Contract Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and information needs, and organizing and promoting library programs and events.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian
- Knowledge of library systems and procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with biometric passport technology is preferred

Responsibilities:
- Manage library collections by cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide guidance on information resources
- Plan and promote library programs, events, and workshops for all ages
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop and maintain digital resources
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws and maintain confidentiality of patron records
- Stay updated on new technologies and trends in the library field

This is a contract position that offers a competitive salary of 1800$ per month.
