Head Chef: Traditional Bahraini Cuisine


We are in search of a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our traditional Bahraini cuisine kitchen team in Muharraq. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and overseeing the kitchen staff. Your primary goal will be to maintain high-quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of authentic and delicious traditional Bahraini dishes.

Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that reflect traditional Bahraini cuisine and cater to our diverse clientele.
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking techniques, portion sizes, and presentation to maintain consistency and quality.
- Monitor food costs and maintain inventory levels by ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment that meets health codes and company standards.
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions featuring traditional Bahraini cuisine.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper handling of food.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a traditional Bahraini cuisine restaurant.
- In-depth knowledge of traditional Bahraini cooking methods, ingredients, spices, and flavors.
- Familiarity with health codes and safety standards for handling food.
- Ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Exceptional communication skills for training staff, interacting with customers, and collaborating with management.
- Creativity in menu planning to keep up with trends while staying true to traditional Bahraini cuisine.

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required.
- At least 5 years of experience working as a chef in traditional Bahraini cuisine restaurants.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not required.

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of 1200$ per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
