Junior Librarian
We are in search of a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team in Isa Town. As a Junior Librarian, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our library by assisting with cataloging, shelving, and maintaining the library's collection.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging new materials using the Dewey Decimal System
- Organize and shelve books and other library materials
- Maintain an accurate inventory of library items
- Help patrons locate materials within the library
- Check books in and out using the library's computer system
- Assist with processing new library card applications and renewals
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate staff member
- Provide basic reference services to patrons
- Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with cataloging systems, such as Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress Classification
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Prior experience in a library setting is preferred but not required
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month for this position.

This position does not include accommodation, so candidates must be able to secure their own housing in Isa Town.
