Head Chef
We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in Vianden. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our guests. You must have a passion for cooking and a strong knowledge of different cuisines. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that showcase creativity while meeting customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and current food trends
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead and train kitchen staff
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Good understanding of health codes and regulations
- Fluent in English, proficiency in Malayalee is a plus
Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
