Head Pastry Chef
As a Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the pastry department of a high-end restaurant located in the charming town of Vianden, Luxembourg. Your main duties will include creating and executing dessert menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, training and supervising pastry staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. You will also collaborate with the executive chef to develop new dishes and participate in menu planning.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a pastry chef in a fine dining establishment, excellent leadership skills, and a creative approach to dessert-making. You must also have strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A degree in culinary arts or certification from a reputable pastry school would be an advantage.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for pastry who can maintain high-quality standards while keeping up with industry trends. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills to effectively lead and train their team, as well as collaborate with other departments. Fluency in French or German is preferred but not required.
