Sous Chef


We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sous Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Clairvaux. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in leading the kitchen team and ensuring the highest level of food quality and presentation. This is a contract position with a salary of 1500$ per month, without accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan menus and create new dishes
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist in maintaining food cost control by properly portioning ingredients and minimizing waste
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health codes and sanitation regulations

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Strong knowledge of various culinary techniques and proficiency in preparing international cuisines
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually appealing dishes
- Knowledge of food cost control methods
- Familiarity with health codes and sanitation regulations
- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends

Preference will be given to candidates who are Indian nationals or have experience working with Indian cuisine. However, all qualified applicants will be considered regardless of nationality.
