Job Title: Head Pastry Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Al Buraymi. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing innovative and delicious dessert menus that will leave our customers wanting more. You will also oversee the pastry team, ensuring that all pastry dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new dessert menu items in line with current food trends and customer preferences
- Oversee the production of all pastry items, including cakes, pastries, breads, and other baked goods
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs to ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Manage inventory of all pastry supplies and ingredients, ensuring timely ordering and cost control
- Maintain a clean and organized pastry kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to incorporate pastry elements into main dishes or special menus
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of various baking techniques and methods
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique desserts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of food cost control measures
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Indian nationality preferred
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
