Merchandising Coordinator
As a Merchandising Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of merchandising strategies and initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to plan and implement product assortments, promotions, and pricing strategies that align with company goals and objectives. Your primary focus will be on driving sales and profitability through effective merchandising tactics. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with buying teams to develop product assortments that meet customer needs and company objectives
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for reorders or markdowns
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop effective promotions and pricing strategies
- Conduct store visits to ensure proper execution of merchandising plans at retail locations
- Communicate regularly with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities
- Train and mentor junior merchandising staff as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in retail merchandising or buying
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Willingness to travel for store visits as needed.
Location: Al Buraymi, Oman (Preference for Indian nationals)
Salary: $1100 per month
