Head Chef - Indian Cuisine
We are searching for a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team at our Indian restaurant in Clairvaux. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and creating delicious dishes that showcase the flavors of India. Your main duties will include creating menus, training and managing kitchen staff, monitoring food quality and costs, and ensuring a smooth service flow. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Head Chef in an Indian restaurant, excellent knowledge of Indian cuisine, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating exceptional dishes. Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that feature traditional and modern Indian dishes
- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Monitor food costs to maintain profitability
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain consistency
- Collaborate with management on special events or promotions
- Conduct regular kitchen inspections to ensure cleanliness and organization
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef in an Indian restaurant
- Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine including regional variations
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with menu development, cost control, and inventory management
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
Salary: $1700 per month
