Pastry Chef - Indian Cuisine

Our five-star restaurant in Clairvaux is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious Indian-inspired desserts and pastries for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian cuisine and a strong understanding of traditional flavors and techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a variety of desserts and pastries inspired by Indian cuisine
- Develop new recipes and menu items while also maintaining the quality of existing dishes
- Oversee all aspects of the pastry kitchen, including ordering ingredients, maintaining inventory, and managing kitchen staff
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with high quality, fresh ingredients in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure a smooth service and cohesive menu
- Train new pastry chefs and kitchen staff on proper techniques and recipes
- Adhere to all food safety standards and regulations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining establishment or similar setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, flavors, and techniques
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique recipes and menu items
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification preferred

Salary:
We are offering a competitive salary of $1100 per week for this full-time position.
