The Executive Pastry Chef will oversee all aspects of the pastry department at our luxury resort in Clairvaux, including menu development, production, and training. Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef in fine dining establishments
- Culinary degree or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
- Develop creative menus for desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods
- Train and mentor pastry chefs on proper techniques and presentation
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are available at all times
- Control costs by monitoring waste, portion sizes, and ordering practices
- Ensure compliance with health codes and food safety regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to create cohesive menus for special events or holidays
- Stay updated on current trends in the pastry industry to continuously improve offerings
