Executive Chef - Kenyan Cuisine
We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef who specializes in Kenyan cuisine to join our team in Dickirch. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop authentic Kenyan menus that reflect the rich flavors and traditions of Kenyan cuisine
- Source and select fresh, high-quality ingredients from local suppliers
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor inventory levels and control food costs while maintaining menu variety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and promotions featuring Kenyan cuisine
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Kenyan dishes, cooking techniques, and ingredients
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volume production
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a diverse team
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Proven ability to control food costs while maintaining quality standards
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Dickirch (Kenyan nationality preferred)
