Merchandiser for Retail Store in Nairobi, Kenya


We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Merchandiser to join our retail team in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper placement and display of products in our store to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create visually appealing displays that showcase our products and attract customers
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are restocked in a timely manner
- Conduct regular audits of product displays to ensure they are organized and well-stocked
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to plan and execute promotions or sales events
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and adjust product placement accordingly
- Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and maintain inventory levels
- Train and supervise other merchandisers on proper display techniques and company policies

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Merchandiser or similar role in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, management, and colleagues
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Salary: $1700/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (Filipino nationals preferred)
Language: English (proficiency required)
