Dishwasher



As a dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our restaurant's kitchen. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are washed and sanitized efficiently and in a timely manner. This position is physically demanding, as you will be required to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment
- Sort and stack clean dishes for efficient storage
- Inspect dishes for cleanliness before putting them away
- Empty trash bins regularly and maintain a clean work area
- Assist with food prep as needed
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries
- Notify management of any malfunctioning equipment or supply shortages
- Adhere to sanitation guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of sanitation principles and willingness to adhere to them at all times
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if needed

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month.

Location:
This position is located in Nairobi, Kenya.

Preference:
Preference will be given to African candidates who are English-speaking with little or no experience. Training will be provided on the job.
