Foundry Technician
As a Foundry Technician, you will be responsible for performing various tasks in a foundry, including melting and pouring metal, operating machinery and equipment, and conducting quality control checks. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to produce high-quality castings according to customer specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds for casting by applying coatings and releasing agents
- Melt metal in furnaces according to specified temperatures
- Pour molten metal into molds and monitor cooling process
- Remove finished castings from molds and perform finishing operations such as grinding or sanding
- Operate machinery and equipment such as conveyor belts, cranes, or ladles
- Perform quality control checks on castings using measuring tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a foundry or similar manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects in castings
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting

Salary: $1200 per month (depending on experience)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya (visa sponsorship available for non-Kenyan candidates)
Employment Type: Contract (3 months with potential for extension)
