Collections Specialist


We are seeking a dynamic and driven Collections Specialist to join our team in Nairobi. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for contacting and communicating with customers to collect outstanding debts and payments. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of all collections activities. This is a contract position without accommodation, with a salary of 1600$.

Key Responsibilities:
- Contact customers via phone, email or letter to collect overdue payments
- Negotiate payment plans and arrangements with customers
- Maintain accurate records of all collections activities
- Monitor and report on delinquent accounts
- Follow up with customers to ensure timely payments
- Work closely with other departments to resolve any billing issues or disputes
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in collections or accounts receivable role preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English language
- Ability to negotiate effectively and maintain positive relationships with customers
- Knowledge of biometric passport process preferred
