Preservation Architect - Vianden, Luxembourg
A leading architecture firm in Vianden, Luxembourg is seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures while also ensuring they meet modern building standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for preserving our cultural heritage.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine preservation needs
- Create preservation plans and designs that adhere to building codes and regulations
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the preservation plans are executed accurately
- Monitor construction progress and provide guidance as needed
- Conduct research on the history and architecture of buildings for preservation projects
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and government agencies regarding preservation projects
- Utilize specialized techniques and materials for preservation work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect
- Strong understanding of architectural history, styles, and techniques
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations in Luxembourg
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of French or German is a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
