Preservation Architect
We are hiring a Preservation Architect to join our team in Wiltz. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. Your duties will include conducting research, creating plans for preservation and restoration, overseeing construction projects, and working closely with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture
- Excellent knowledge of historical architecture styles and techniques
- Proficiency in CAD software and other architectural design programs
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historic buildings and structures
- Create plans for preservation and restoration based on research findings
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other professionals to ensure project goals are met
- Oversee construction projects to ensure that preservation guidelines are followed
- Provide guidance to contractors on historical techniques and materials used in restoration projects
- Review project progress to ensure adherence to timelines and budget constraints
- Prepare reports for clients on project progress and any challenges encountered
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in preservation architecture
