Database Administrator


We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Dickirch, Luxembourg. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. This is a contract position with a salary of 1500$ per week.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database software
- Create and manage database users and permissions
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing access controls and performing regular audits
- Collaborate with developers to design efficient database structures for new applications
- Provide technical support to end users

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Experience with database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security procedures
- Familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Java, or Python
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Certification in database administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
