Head Pastry Chef
We are a renowned luxury hotel in the heart of Lom, seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating exquisite pastries and desserts, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional leadership skills. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will oversee all operations in the pastry department and ensure the highest quality of products are consistently delivered to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Create, develop and implement new pastry recipes to enhance our menu offerings
- Train and manage a team of pastry chefs and assistants
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, taste, and quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and promotions
- Oversee budgeting and cost control for the pastry department
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu development
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a pastry chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment
- Formal culinary training or certification in pastry arts
- Strong leadership skills with previous experience managing a team
- Creative mindset with a passion for creating unique pastries and desserts
- Good knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Lom, Egypt (open to other nationalities)
