Chef de Cuisine - Traditional Malayalee Cuisine

The Chef de Cuisine will be responsible for creating and overseeing the menu for our new restaurant specializing in traditional Malayalee cuisine in the vibrant city of Sofia. We are seeking a highly skilled and creative chef with a passion for Malayalee cuisine and a deep understanding of its flavors, techniques, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working as a chef, preferably in a fine dining restaurant, and will be able to lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative and authentic menus that showcase the rich flavors of Malayalee cuisine
- Source high-quality ingredients from local markets or suppliers
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, both in terms of taste and presentation
- Train and motivate kitchen staff to maintain consistency in food quality
- Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or promotions featuring Malayalee cuisine

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a chef, preferably in a fine dining restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Malayalee cuisine, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and regional variations
- Ability to create unique dishes while maintaining authenticity
- Experience managing a team of kitchen staff
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent time management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure during busy times
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Creativity and passion for creating delicious dishes

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month. However, we are open to negotiation based on experience and qualifications.

Location:
This position is located in Sofia, Bulgaria. However, we welcome applicants from all nationalities who have a passion for Malayalee cuisine. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
