Surveyor Assistant


As a Surveyor Assistant, you will assist the surveyor in their duties of measuring and mapping land for construction, mining, or other purposes. Your responsibilities will include setting up and adjusting surveying equipment, taking measurements and collecting data, and helping to create maps and reports. You may also be responsible for maintaining equipment, organizing data, and communicating with clients or team members.

Requirements:
- Able to work in Plovdiv, Bulgaria
- Fluent in English
- Part-time availability (20-30 hours per week)
- No previous experience required
- Must have own visa for working in Bulgaria
- Accommodation provided if needed

Responsibilities:
- Assist surveyor with setting up and operating equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels
- Take measurements using various tools such as tapes, chains, theodolites, and electronic distance-measuring instruments
- Collect data on land features such as elevations, boundaries, structures, and utilities
- Help create maps using data collected from surveys
- Maintain equipment by cleaning it after use and reporting any issues to the surveyor
- Organize data collected from surveys into reports or databases
- Communicate with clients or team members to ensure accuracy of measurements and data collection

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in surveying preferred but not required
- Ability to use various surveying equipment and tools effectively
- Excellent math skills for measurement calculations
- Strong organizational skills for managing data and creating reports
- Good communication skills for working with clients or team members

Working Conditions:
The work schedule for this position is part-time (20 - 30 hours per week) with flexible hours. You will be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Some physical labor may be involved in setting up equipment or taking measurements. Accommodation can be provided if needed.
