Blast Furnace Worker

We are hiring for a Blast Furnace Worker to join our team in Zagreb. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining blast furnaces to produce molten iron. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities:
- Operate blast furnaces according to established procedures and safety guidelines
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and flow rates of furnace equipment
- Add materials such as coal, iron ore, and limestone to the furnace as needed
- Remove slag from the furnace using tools such as rakes and shovels
- Perform regular maintenance on furnace equipment
- Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during production
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a blast furnace or other industrial setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting
