Blast Furnace Operator


We are hiring a skilled and dedicated Blast Furnace Operator to join our team at our steel production facility in Dubrovnik. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the blast furnace, which is a critical component of our steel production process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and regulate the flow of materials into the blast furnace, including iron ore, coke, and limestone
- Adjust furnace temperatures and chemical composition to ensure optimal production levels
- Inspect equipment and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions
- Monitor gas levels and maintain proper air flow in the furnace
- Operate control panels and computer systems to track data and make necessary adjustments
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or hazards

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Previous experience working in a blast furnace or similar industrial setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work in hot, noisy, and physically demanding environments for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures accurately
- Basic understanding of chemistry principles related to steel production
- Biometric passport required
