As a typesetter in our publishing house in St-Petersburg, Russia, you will be responsible for transforming raw text and images into visually appealing printed or digital materials. Your main goal will be to create layouts that are both visually appealing and easy to read, while also ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receive text and images from editors and designers and use specialized software to arrange them into a cohesive layout
- Select fonts, sizes, colors, and other design elements to enhance the overall look of the material
- Ensure that the layout is aesthetically pleasing while also considering readability and accessibility
- Make necessary adjustments to fit text and images within space limitations
- Collaborate with editors and designers to ensure accuracy of content and design elements
- Proofread final layouts for errors or inconsistencies before sending them for printing or publishing
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in typesetting techniques

Requirements:
- Experience as a typesetter or in a similar role is preferred
- Proficiency in relevant software such as Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, or Microsoft Publisher
- Understanding of design principles such as typography, layout, color theory, etc.
- Attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies
- Good communication skills to collaborate with editors and designers effectively
- Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising on quality

Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
