Reference Librarian



We are in search of a highly knowledgeable and customer-oriented Reference Librarian to join our team at our library in St. Petersburg. As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons in finding the information they need, conducting research, and providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide reference and research services to patrons in person, over the phone, and through email
- Assist patrons in locating books, articles, and other materials using various databases and library catalogs
- Instruct patrons on how to use library resources and equipment effectively
- Develop and maintain specialized collections and subject guides to support research needs
- Collaborate with other librarians to plan and implement library programs and events
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in library science, technology, and information literacy

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Library Science or Information Studies from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a reference librarian or in a related field
- Strong knowledge of library systems, databases, and online resources
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per month. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. The successful candidate must have their own visa for eligibility to work in St. Petersburg. This position does not include accommodation.
