Assistant Librarian


We are hiring an Assistant Librarian to join our team at a well-established library in Izhevsk, Russia. As an Assistant Librarian, you will assist the Head Librarian in managing and maintaining the library's collection of books, documents, and other materials. Your main responsibilities will include organizing and cataloging materials, assisting patrons with research needs, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the library.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the library's collection of books, documents, and other materials
- Assist patrons with research needs and provide excellent customer service
- Catalog new materials and update existing records in the library's database
- Manage circulation processes such as checking out and returning books
- Oversee the daily operations of the library including opening and closing procedures
- Assist with planning and implementing events or programs for library patrons
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Russian is a plus but not required
- Previous experience working in a library or customer service role is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team environment

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of 1700 USD per month.

Location:
The position is based in Izhevsk, Russia. However, we welcome candidates from all nationalities to apply.
