Preservation Architect
Acre, Canada is seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team of professionals dedicated to preserving the historical and cultural heritage of our city. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for conducting research, developing preservation plans, and overseeing restoration projects for historical buildings and sites in Acre.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and sites in Acre to determine their significance and condition
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local and national regulations, as well as international conservation standards
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to oversee restoration projects
- Monitor progress of restoration projects to ensure they are completed according to the preservation plan
- Conduct regular site visits to assess any damages or potential risks to the historical buildings and sites
- Prepare reports and documentation on the preservation work being done in Acre for record keeping purposes
Requirements:
- Must be a Canadian citizen or have a valid biometric passport, preferably with no English language requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in preservation architecture or related field
- Strong knowledge of local and national regulations pertaining to historic preservation
- Excellent research skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates
Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)
