Welder Technician
As a Welder Technician, you will be responsible for performing welding and fabrication work on various projects. This includes reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and using welding tools and equipment to join metal pieces together. You must have a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and layout plans for welding projects
- Measure and cut metal materials to required specifications
- Set up welding equipment and ensure proper settings for each project
- Weld metal pieces together using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks effectively
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding/fabrication work
- Knowledge of different types of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC)
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform manual labor
