Preservation Architect - Ashdod, Israel

Our architecture firm in Ashdod is seeking a talented Preservation Architect to join our team. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures, ensuring they maintain their cultural and architectural significance while also meeting modern safety and functionality standards. This is a great opportunity for an experienced architect with a passion for preserving history and culture.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and structures, including their architectural style, materials used, and historical significance
- Develop preservation plans that balance the need for restoration with the need to maintain historical integrity
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure preservation plans are feasible and meet safety standards
- Oversee restoration projects from beginning to end, ensuring all work is done according to preservation plans
- Document all work done on historical buildings and structures for record-keeping purposes
- Provide consultation services to clients on the preservation of their historical properties

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or similar field
- Extensive knowledge of architectural styles, materials, and construction techniques used in historical buildings
- Strong understanding of local building codes and regulations related to historic preservation
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
- Fluency in English (knowledge of Hebrew is a plus)

Salary: 1600$ per month
