We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Vilnius, Lithuania. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our company's databases to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Create and implement backup and recovery plans
- Collaborate with development teams to design, create, and optimize databases
- Develop and maintain data standards, procedures, and policies
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing access controls, encryption methods, and regular audits
- Identify opportunities for database improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies and trends

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Proficient in SQL language
- Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in database administration
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Microsoft Azure SQL Database
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Perl
