Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Vilnius. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. Your main duties will include conducting research, creating preservation plans, and supervising restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history, design, and materials of historical buildings
- Create preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and standards
- Collaborate with engineers and construction workers to ensure the structural integrity of buildings
- Supervise restoration projects, including overseeing contractors and budget management
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential damage or deterioration in historical structures
- Develop strategies for preserving and protecting historical sites from natural elements and wear-and-tear
- Provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs to preserve the authenticity of historical buildings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture
- Knowledge of local historic preservation laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other architectural software
