Head Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team in Vilnius, Kenya. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen staff management. Your creativity and passion for cooking will be evident in the dishes you create and your leadership skills will inspire your team to deliver exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and cater to a variety of dietary requirements
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or catering services
- Monitor food costs and work within budget guidelines
- Foster a positive work environment where teamwork is encouraged and excellence is rewarded
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of diverse cuisines, cooking techniques, and food presentation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional organization and time-management abilities
- Good understanding of food safety standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent English communication skills
Salary: 1600$ per month
