Head Chef

As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations of our restaurant in Vilnius. Your main goal will be to ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to our high standards of quality and taste. You will also be in charge of managing the kitchen staff, ordering supplies, and creating new menu items.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Train and manage kitchen staff to maintain high levels of efficiency and productivity
- Create new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presented in an attractive manner
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop cost-effective menus and pricing strategies
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain proper hygiene standards
- Handle any customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and plating presentations
- Ability to create new menu items while also maintaining consistency with existing dishes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Creativity and attention to detail in menu planning and dish preparation
Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
-Certification from a culinary institute is a plus
-Familiarity with Indian cuisine is preferred
-Must be fluent in English
-Must have authorization to work in Vilnius
