Entry-level JAVA Developer

As an entry-level JAVA Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining JAVA-based applications for our clients. You will work closely with senior developers to write efficient and scalable code, troubleshoot and debug issues, and contribute to the overall success of our projects. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain JAVA-based applications according to client requirements
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code following best practices
- Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot issues and debug code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute ideas for improvement
- Communicate project progress and any roadblocks to the team in a timely manner

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Proficiency in JAVA programming language
- Knowledge of SQL and database design
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Familiarity with software development tools such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA

Salary: $1800 per month

Location: Sheduva, Kenya (open to non-Kenyans)

Note: This is a full-time position but we are also open to part-time candidates who can commit at least 20 hours per week. We offer free visa sponsorship for non-Kenyan applicants as well as a round-trip ticket for selected candidates. Individuals without prior work experience are encouraged to apply as we provide on-the-job training.
