Pastry Chef (Indian Cuisine)
As a Pastry Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of traditional and modern Indian-inspired desserts and pastries. This role is based in Sheduva, where you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop unique dessert recipes that incorporate traditional Indian flavors and ingredients
- Prepare and present a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts for both dine-in and take-out orders
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to standard recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Manage inventory of pastry ingredients, ensuring timely ordering and proper storage to minimize waste
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs in proper techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service flow and timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station to meet food safety standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with experience in Indian cuisine
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dessert concepts
- Experience managing inventory, controlling food costs, and maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1700$ per month plus tips for this full-time position.
