Head Chef - Pakistani Cuisine (Kaunas, Lithuania)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our team in the preparation and creation of authentic Pakistani cuisine in our restaurant located in Kaunas, Lithuania. As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, from menu planning to food preparation and staff management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and creating menus for our Pakistani restaurant that showcase traditional dishes as well as modern twists on classic recipes
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies to ensure a well-stocked kitchen
- Overseeing food preparation and ensuring all dishes are of the highest quality and presented beautifully
- Training and mentoring kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
- Collaborating with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role, with a focus on Pakistani cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Pakistani dishes, as well as modern trends in Indian/Pakistani fusion cuisine
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Strong understanding of food costs, portion control, and budgeting
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Fluent in English (Lithuanian language skills are an asset)
- Must be willing to relocate to Kaunas, Lithuania
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month. Additional benefits may be negotiated based on experience.
