Executive Chef - Fine Dining Restaurant (Kaunas, Lithuania)


We are seeking an experienced and creative Executive Chef to join our team at a prestigious fine dining restaurant in Kaunas, Lithuania. Our ideal candidate is passionate about creating unique and high-quality dishes, has excellent leadership skills, and is able to maintain a high level of organization and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop creative menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and appeal to a diverse clientele
- Manage food inventory and ordering to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper techniques, safety protocols, and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the kitchen, including storage areas
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure that guest needs are met in a timely manner

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new menu items while also incorporating traditional dishes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of food cost control measures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef
- Knowledge of Lithuanian cuisine is preferred but not required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Must be legally authorized to work in Lithuania

Compensation:
Salary - 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
