Merchandiser for African Market in Washington, D.C., USA



Our company is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Merchandiser to join our team in Washington, D.C. This position will focus on the African market and requires someone with a strong understanding of African culture, trends, and consumer behavior.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies for the African market in Washington, D.C.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and preferences of African consumers
- Source products from suppliers that cater to the African market
- Negotiate pricing and manage inventory levels for all products
- Collaborate with marketing team to create promotional campaigns targeted towards the African community
- Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies accordingly
- Build strong relationships with key contacts within the African community to increase brand awareness and loyalty
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities in the African market

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in merchandising or marketing, specifically targeting the African market
- Strong understanding of African culture, trends, and consumer behavior
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to travel occasionally

Salary: $1000 per month
