Indian Pastry Chef in Los Angeles
We are seeking an experienced and creative Indian Pastry Chef to join our team in Los Angeles. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of traditional Indian desserts and baked goods. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1600$ per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new recipes for Indian desserts and baked goods
- Prepare and bake items such as gulab jamun, jalebi, samosas, and naan bread
- Ensure all desserts are presented in an attractive manner
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff on proper pastry techniques and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian desserts and baking techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
