Turner - Experienced (Kenyans)

We are seeking an experienced Turner to join our team in Akron. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating machinery and tools to shape metal parts according to specifications. This position is open to Kenyan nationals who do not require English proficiency and have no prior experience in this field.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to understand specifications for metal parts
- Set up and operate lathes, grinders, drills, and other machinery to cut, shape, and finish metal parts
- Monitor the performance of machines and make adjustments as needed for optimal results
- Check finished parts for accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following all safety protocols

Requirements:
- Kenyan nationality preferred
- No prior experience required, but must have a strong interest in the profession of turning/machining
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Proficient in basic math skills and able to use measuring tools accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing work demands

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.
