Fitter - Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are hiring an experienced Fitter to join our team in Akron! As a Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per week.

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure efficient operation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary repairs
- Read blueprints and schematics to assemble and install new equipment
- Operate hand and power tools to cut, drill, weld, and fabricate parts as needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with heavy machinery
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Fitter or similar role in an industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, etc.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
