Excavator Operator



We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team in Akron. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move and grade earth or other materials. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month, and accommodation and visa sponsorship will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment according to safety policies and procedures
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Safely dig trenches, level surfaces, and move materials as directed by the project manager
- Communicate with ground crew to ensure safe movement of equipment on job site
- Follow project plans and blueprints to accurately complete assigned tasks
- Maintain equipment by cleaning, greasing, and performing routine maintenance as needed

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating excavators in construction or similar field
- Valid operator's license for heavy equipment is required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans
- Strong understanding of safety protocols for operating heavy machinery
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Must have good communication skills in English

Preferred:
- Experience working on contract jobs is preferred but not required
- Experience working with different types of soil and terrain is an asset
