Mason: Stone and Brick Work Specialist

As a Mason specializing in stone and brick work, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, patios, fireplaces, and other structures using various types of stone and brick materials. Your expertise in this field will require precision and attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark out work areas according to plans
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning them, laying out a base, and applying mortar or other bonding materials
- Cut bricks and stones to desired sizes using hand or power tools
- Lay bricks and stones in specific patterns or designs
- Use levels, plumb lines, and other tools to ensure proper alignment of structures
- Repair damaged masonry structures by replacing broken or missing pieces
- Mix mortar or cement using appropriate ratios for different types of materials
- Remove excess mortar from finished structure with trowels or other tools
- Apply sealants or coatings to protect finished structures from weather damage

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Mason specializing in stone and brick work
- Knowledge of different types of stone and brick materials and their characteristics
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or other construction plans
- Physical strength and endurance to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor for extended periods of time
- Attention to detail for precise measurements and alignment of structures
- Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting issues during construction or repair process

Salary: $1200 per month

City: Akron, Ohio (Preference for Indian nationals)

This is a full-time position that requires working 40 hours per week. A biometric passport is required for employment.
