Network and Systems Administrator

Our company, a leading IT solutions provider in Akron, is seeking a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team. This position offers a competitive salary of $1300 and visa sponsorship for suitable candidates. As an experienced Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering our network and systems infrastructure. You will play a critical role in ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our network and systems to support our business operations.

Responsibilities:
- Designing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Managing network security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs
- Monitoring network performance to identify potential issues and implement solutions
- Troubleshooting network problems and providing timely resolution
- Conducting regular backups of critical data to ensure data integrity
- Installing and configuring new hardware and software as needed
- Managing user accounts, permissions, email accounts, groups, etc.
- Providing technical support to end-users on hardware and software issues

Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Network or Systems Administrator
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proficient in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.
- Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with team members and end-users
